Just to get it out there. Preliminary work on a gated dual slaolm course at santos mountain bike park in bellview florida has begun. Although this is in it's infant stages, it is a reality and as of now course building is scheduled to start in January 2010. The intent for this course is to bring gated mountain bike racing to Florida, with the hopes of being able to eventually incorporate the completed course into a southeastern race series. I am truly stoked about the forthcoming course and will… Continue

Ethan and Chuck made the trip up to Beech Mountain for the final race of the triple crown series.
Finally got a semi-dry well close enough to dry to just say we had a DRY RACE!
Times picked up a bit with quallies on Saturday evening with Ethan Qualifying 2nd
and I (Chuck) somewhere in the middle of the pack, just coasting down saving
it for Sunday. Race day was some fun riding on the track in great conditions.
Chuck took off the start with a BMX first straight effort into the woods.

Team 2wheelfreaks took flight at the dirty bird race in Boone, N.C. put on by our friends who live and build there.
It was a steep and rooty slick track when we started riding on Sat. and we saw it get a little tacky that evening and starting to get some real flow and feeling racey for Sun.
-We all got a room down the street and had a good nights rest to constant pouring all night!
It wouldn't be a race if it weren't like all the others, WET!
Sun. morning was Sat. slick times 3 so slowly trying… Continue

Snowshoe series race #3 went down this past weekend and turned out to be a fairly good turnout for the team.
Ethan, Greg and Chuck went up Friday and hit practice all Day Saturday
getting the long fast track dialed. The course had a couple road gaps up top and a long
downhill fire road which led to a new trail section with some big jumps in the woods.
Then dumped into Quick Draw which is one of the gnarliest technical sections
on the mountain. Then hit up another short tech section in Hairball.… Continue

Race One went down with some good results from the south side of team Giant 2wheelfreaks. The course was long and pedally! A couple techy steep sections thrown in once your tired of pedalling. Typical Race weekend weather with a Rainy, muddy beginning and then clearing up Sat. night before the race of course! Chuck went off first and had a decent run that brought a 12th place out of 30 Pro's Ethan was next and brought home an 8th place in the Pro field but, Greg was the main man breaking through… Continue

Greg and Chuck headed up to check out the triple crown series held in Banner Elk, NC at Beech Mt. this past weekend. Ryan Taylor created a pretty kick ass course which featured alot of elements! Wide open sprinting start down the slopes then in and out of the woods with some techy steep stuff in the woods and some fast speed pedaling in the open! A few doubles and a couple step-downs and high speed finish. Quallies were on Sat. after practice for Pro's and Greg told me he wanted to show everyone… Continue

Just finished racing at Attitash. Had a great time. Course was fun, had a nice technical section up top with some fun and tight, flowy, rooty and rocky switchback throughout. Had a long fire road runout to the finish, but none the less an overall fun course to race/ride. Mike G. wound up with a LONG awaited 2nd place in mens cat 1 19-29. (First podium for Mike!) I ended up in 2nd place mens cat 3 by default, only 2 riders in my class. Still had a great time. Continue

Just finished racing at HMBP this past weekend, what a blast ! This place is by far my new favorite riding spot, something for everyone. As big as you want to go. The slopestyle course is huge, the trail system is very sweet with very little needed in the way of improvement. The staff here are all bikers, owner included. This place is mountain bike only, no skiing or snowboarding in winter, just biking. The dirt jumps are sweet, the pump track is equally as nice. there is a skills area, and the… Continue

Hey everyone hows it going?
Hope everyone had a great weekend, I would just like to let all you guys know how 2wheelfreaks.com did this weekend at the 2nd round of the Gravity East Series race in McHenry, MD. It was the Mid Altantic Cup Championships as well here at Wisp. This race is a hard one since it is a 2 race format on 2 different courses. We had practice on friday, Race #1 on saturday and Race #2 on sunday. Its a challange in itself to practice/race all weekend and not wear yourself out… Continue
Team Giant/2wheelfreaks was in effect at The U.S. Open held in Vernon, N.J. kicked off this past weekend May 22-25.
The team was set up with a sweet spot in the paved lot 2nd tent from entry and 20 yards from the finish line and lift.
Perfect weather on Friday for Downhill practice! We had 4 hours to get many runs in on the quick Diablo gondola. A couple of us had some technical issues that ate into precious practice time but, a fun day of riding. A few of the guys were doing the Giant Slalom ev… Continue
